New Project in a Month After LEGO Drawers

Currently working on something I called “Edilgen Blocks” which are designed to work each other with ‘screw mechanism’ and you can make whatever your imagination might allow. The original idea to make 3D printed furniture with them like desk, coffee table, stool, shelf but when idea is developed, with couple more standard parts, the project became something like building blocks similar to Lego, but not quite. “Edilgen Blocks” utilizes ‘screw mechanism’ instead of joining like Legos.

3D models are designed for real size projects such as human size desk or stool but they can be scaled down 1:3 without any issues. Any smaller scale hasn’t been tested yet.

It has ‘the PLATE’ as main building block, it also has ‘the LEG’ for height needs in your designs. Starter kit will also include Print-In-Place ‘the WHEEL’, you can make any sorts of cart with using the wheel. The project is initially published with 18 different components. The next idea to add paddle mechanism to the blocks for boat/kayak building 🙂

Anyways, I am trying to catch the deadline for #FuntionalArt contest of Thangs3D.com collaboration with 3DPrintBunny. I will present the “Edilgen Blocks” there with Human size desk, phone holder, pen holder, toilet paper holder and simple cart toy.

Here are some photos of the “Edilgen Blocks”
